  • 3rd Participating in their city’s sustainability/environmental programs
  • 3rd Buying bulk food to avoid extra packaging
  • 3rd Hanging their clothes out to dry when possible
  • 3rd Limiting showers to five minutes
  • 4th Composting fruits and vegetable scraps

Low rankings:

  • 19th Buying secondhand items, including clothes, electronics and furniture
  • 20th Throwing out less than two bags of trash each week
  • 20th Saving leftover food/meals to eat again
  • 22nd Turning off the water when brushing their teeth
